My program is designed to equip teens (from both Dutch and IB schools) with the essential skills and confidence they need to excel, offering targeted support even for students with learning differences. I believe in a hands-on approach, where I guide students through effective strategies to master each key area.

• Writing: I help students master essay writing, research papers, and various writing prompts. For IB students, we specifically work on strategies to meet and exceed IB assessment criteria for clarity, argumentation, and organization in their written assignments.

• Reading Comprehension: I develop personalized strategies with each student to analyze complex texts and extract essential information. This ensures they can effectively navigate diverse materials and confidently address reading comprehension requirements in their courses and exams.

IB Spanish Tutoring: Customized Support
for Ab Initio & B

My approach ensures specific and effective preparation:

• Focus on IB Criteria: We analyze past exams and utilize additional IB materials. I provide strategies for each section and assessment criterion, aiming to maximize scores in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

• Fully Personalized Classes: Each session is fully adapted to individual needs and current level.

  • Ab Initio students: I focus on developing foundational communication skills for their written assignments and individual oral assessment. This includes targeted practice to build confidence in effective language use for everyday contexts, covering their productive and receptive skills.

  • Spanish B students: We delve into the more complex demands of their exam components, including longer written assignments (where they produce texts of various types), in-depth reading and listening comprehension strategies for varied and more advanced texts, and refined individual oral assessments. Our work targets intermediate/advanced vocabulary, grammar, and nuanced expression across all four skills.

• Develop Real Fluency: Students acquire essential grammar and vocabulary relevant to IB topics. Natural expressions are mastered through interactive conversations and authentic resources such as movies, series, podcasts, songs, and current articles.
