My program is designed to equip teens (from both Dutch and IB schools) with the essential skills and confidence they need to excel, offering targeted support even for students with learning differences. I believe in a hands-on approach, where I guide students through effective strategies to master each key area.

How I Help Them Tackle Every Task:

• Writing. I help students master essay writing, research papers, and various writing prompts. For IB students, we specifically work on strategies to meet and exceed IB assessment criteria for clarity, argumentation, and organization in their written assignments.

• Reading Comprehension. I develop personalized strategies with each student to analyze complex texts and extract essential information. This ensures they can effectively navigate diverse materials and confidently address reading comprehension requirements in their courses and exams.

• Study Skills. I teach effective techniques for note-taking, active memorization, and comprehensive test preparation. My goal is to show them how to apply these skills across all their subjects for optimal academic performance and sustained learning.

Time Management:

• The Master Schedule. I guide students in building a robust master schedule for the entire year, so they can see all their major deadlines at a glance and plan ahead effectively.

• The Weekly Blueprint. We work together to translate the master schedule into a realistic weekly action plan, breaking down large assignments into small, manageable tasks.

• The Daily To-Do List. I empower students to build a simple daily to-do list that keeps them focused on their most important tasks and helps them feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of each day.

IB Spanish Tutoring:
From MYP to DP

As a native Spanish speaker with a personal background in IB DP Language A (Literature), I offer personalized tutoring across all levels of the IB curriculum—from the Middle Years Programme (MYP 1–5) through the Diploma Programme (DP).

How I Support Every Spanish Learner:

• MYP Spanish (Language Acquisition & Home Language): Targeted guidance across all MYP Assessment Criteria A–D (Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, Communication, and Language Accuracy). I help younger teens expand academic vocabulary, master key text types (letters, articles, blogs), and structure analytical writing.

• DP Spanish (Ab Initio & Language B SL/HL): Complete exam preparation for Paper 1 (Writing and Text Type Formats), Paper 2 (Listening & Reading), and the Individual Oral (IO). We focus on IB assessment criteria, thematic vocabulary, and exam strategies.

• Home Language & Spanish A Literacy: Specialized support for native and heritage speakers to refine formal academic grammar/register, enhance essay writing, and develop critical text analysis.

• Authentic, Real-World Fluency: Lessons integrate podcasts, articles, literature, and interactive media to build confidence and cultural engagement.
